U of U Health Now Offers Spanish-Language Version of MyChart Patient Portal

University of Utah Health now offers a Spanish-language versionMyChart patient portal. U of U Health was the first major health system in the state that offers a Spanish-language patient portal.

Spanish-speaking patients now have the ability to connect with their doctors to ask questions, schedule appointments, and receive notifications about their health care.

“MyChart is a fabulous tool to keep patients informed about their own health care as well as to keep them well connected with their health care providers,”Michael Strong, MD, chief medical officer at U of U Health. “Now our Spanish-speaking patients will enjoy this same valuable access in their native language, thus helping them to be an active participant in their own health care.”

The patient portal allows patients to view their test result, pay their medical bills, request refills, and more in their native language.

“Effective and personalized communication is one of the things we’re constantly striving for,”Mari Ransco, senior director of the patient experience at U of U Health, said: “In order for us to provide the best care for our community and our region, it’s important that U of U Health is engaging patients in their own language.”

All U of U Health Patients can access MyChart in Spanish.
