Reported details of former Tavon Young’s deal with Bears released

Many of Baltimore Ravens’ former cornerbacks left during the 2021 free agency. First, Anthony Averett moved west to sign with the Las Vegas Raiders. Chris Westry then went to the Carolina Panthers. Tavon Young is now a new football player.

On Thursday night, it was reported that Young signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears. Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Focus revealed the details of the contract within minutes of the agreement being reported. The contract is one-year and cost $1.365million.

Tavon Young signed a $1.365 million, one-year deal with the Chicago Bears. It includes $650K guaranteed, a $150K signing bonus and a $965K base pay ($500K gtd), $11,765 each game active, and up to $400K playtime-playoffs incentives

Chicago is getting Young at such a low price is an incredible deal. It’s a low-risk, high reward move considering the veteran’s injury history, but if he can stays healthy he should far outperform the metrics of his new contract and set himself up for a nice pay day in 2023.
