Raiders news: Davante Adams trade makes offense is historic

Last week’s huge trade for All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams has given the Las Vegas Raiders offensive a historically productive group of pass catchers.

Adams, tight end Darren Waller and slot receiver Hunter Renfrow all have 100-catch seasons. Adams has now exceeded 100 catches in three of eight NFL seasons. He had 123 career-high catches in 2021.

Waller had a Raiders’ team record 107 receptions in 2020, while Renfrow caught 103 catches in 2021.

If Adams, Renfrow, Waller and Waller remain healthy, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr may set his career record in completions per season. In 2021, he completed 428 passes.

This 100-pass catchers team will keep pace with AFC West foes. Kansas City ChiefsTheir own historic group of pass catchers. What a division.
