Person arrested at Fashion Outlets of Chicago in Rosemont after gunman seen in garage

After a gunman was seen in the vicinity of the Fashion Outlets of Chicago mall, Rosemont, a person was taken into custody.

Officers arrested the person after someone was seen displaying a handgun in the mall’s parking garage, according to a tweet from Rosemont police.

At 3:20 p.m., police stated that there was no threat to the public. The mall, 5220 Fashion Outlets Way remains open.

RPSD units arrived at Fashion Outlets mall to investigate a report that a subject was displaying a gun inside the mall garage. Units have one subject in custody, who is cooperating with their investigation after a search.
