Ohio State Buckeyes football lands top 2024 QB prospect Dylan Raiola

One of the top 2024 prospects, quarterback Dylan Raiola, committed to Ohio State on Monday.

ESPN doesn’t have any rankings for the 2024 class. However, Raiola is widely considered to be one of the best overall recruits and a top quarterback in his class.

  • He is also the son Dominic Raiola, a former offensive lineman for the Detroit Lions. Raiola’s younger brother received offers from almost every major program, including Nebraska, his father’s alma mater.

Raiola, who is 6-foot-3 and 220 lbs, is a prospect from Chandler High School in Chandler. He recently transferred from Burleson Texas where he played for former NFL quarterback Jon Kitna. He threw for 3,243 yard and 42 touchdowns his sophomore season under Kitna. This season, he will play for Kitna’s Chandler team.

Raiola had just visited Nebraska, where Donovan is the offensive-line coach. The Buckeyes seized a commanding lead following an April trip to Columbus.

He’s Ohio State’s first commitment to the 2024 class. However, the staff hasn’t yet signed a quarterback in the 2023 class. In 2021, Ryan Day signed Devin Brown, ESPN 300 quarterback, and Kyle McCord (ESPN 300 quarterback).
