NLRB Officials Seek Order Reinstating Dispensary Worker

By Beverly Banks (March 9, 2022 9:40 PM ET) — The National Labor Relations Board was asked Wednesday by an Arizona federal court to issue an injunction authorizing a cannabis dispensary for the reinstatement of a worker who was terminated for leading an organizing effort.

Cornele A. Overstreet, NLRB Regional Director for Region 28, requested a temporary order under Section 10(j), National Labor Relations Act to prevent Absolute Healthcare, also known as Curaleaf Arizona from continuing to be in violation of the law while the case is pending before it, according to the petition.

Wednesday’s injunction bid is yet another example of general counsel Jennifer Abruzzo following through on her promise in August to “aggressively seek”…
