Giant fried chicken cutlet won’t fit in the buns of burger from Japanese restaurant chain

Dom Dom Hamburger is Japan’s first fast-food restaurant chain. It’s well-known for its unusual burgers and cheeseburgers. Just like their. Deep-fried whole crab burger which we reviewed in 2020, these bold burgers are often characterized by featuring fillings that won’t fit within the confines of the buns.

For their latest bun-bursting burger, Dom Dom was inspired by a popular Taiwanese street food called 大雞排 dà jī pái, or Ji Pai for short, huge, flat pieces of fried chicken, such as the one seen below.

Their Ji Pai burger, which is only available for a short time, is sure to please fried chicken lovers. It measures over a foot in width and weighs over 7 ounces.

The best part about this new product? You can also purchase the Ji Pai chicken separately.

The ジーパイバーガー Ji Pai burger will set you back 1,030 yen including tax for a combo meal, 650 yen a la carte and 550 yen for the Ji Pai fried chicken all by itself.
