FSU opens as double-digit underdog to Clemson

FSU hopes to snap a five game skid against Clemson. The Tigers have won five consecutive games and have also dominated the Seminoles in recent weeks. Clemson was a 29.5-point favourite to win last year. This is believed to be the largest point spread FSU faced as an underdog in college football’s modern era. Clemson won 45-14. Clemson beat FSU by 59-10 in Tallahassee last year, while the Seminoles lost by double digits to Clemson (31-17) the following year. Norvell stated in July that the cancellation of the matchup and the resulting exchange would not serve as motivation.

A win would give FSU a record of.500 for the first time since December 2019. FSU is currently 3-4 for the season and 2-2 for the ACC.

After beginning the year as a playoff contender, Clemson is now 4-3 in the conference and 3-2 in the conference. It was the favorite to win ACC for the sixth consecutive season.

The Seminoles are leading by 20-13 over their in-conference opponent.
