The Primetime Emmys are one of the biggest nights in television and always bring out A+ fashion. So who wore the best outfits and whose looked fell flat? Wonderwall.com is rounding up the fashion hits and misses of the night! Next up? Yikes! This Miu Miu creation by Emma Corrin made quite a statement at London Emmys. The entirely pale yellow ensemble included a simple strapless frock, over-the-elbow gloves with the tips cut off, and a… bonnet? A swim cap? Let’s take a closer look…

One of our favorite looks of the night came from Anya Taylor-Joy! The star of “The Queen’s Gambit” arrived in a show-stopping look from Christian Dior — a champagne-hued gown that was beautiful on its own, but when paired with an over-the-top golden shawl (complete with a train! The ensemble was elevated to the next level. We’re going to need to see this one from a few angles…
First up? Anya Taylor-Joy’s dreamy Christian Dior ensemble from behind! Her statement shawl featured a perfect circular train, making it a memorable moment on the red carpet. Now let’s take a closer look…
Anya Taylor-Joy’s champagne halter-style gown was entirely backless, so posing this way with the shawl was a great move to show off the full beauty of that frock.
Anya Taylor-Joy completed her bold and beautiful Emmys look with a glamorous bun, a bold red lip and stunning jewels from Tiffany & Co.
One of our least favorite looks of the evening came from Gillian Anderson. The star of “The Crown” (and winner of the best supporting actress in a drama prize) rocked these strange custom Chloe coordinates. The long, ivory-hued silk tassels adorned the cropped top. They dangled over the matching, floor-length skirt that also featured a fringed hemline. Let’s get a better view of those tassels…
Gillian Anderson’s Chloe crop top featured numerous beaded tassels that flowed off the hemline. Although this was a unique choice, it felt casual for such an important event.
This Etro slinky silver number was worn by Kerry Washington. We loved the corset-style bodice, thin straps and mermaid-style skirt of this Etro gown. Check out her gorgeous earrings next…
Kerry Washington accessorized her slinky Etro gown with diamond drop earrings from De Beers.
Sarah Paulson is a fashion-hit fixture, so it’s no surprise that we adored her Carolina Herrera ballgown. The rich red confection featured statement sleeves that reached three-quarters length, a plunging neckline, and a full-length skirt. She wasn’t the only star rocking a cheery red Carolina Herrera design…
Mandy Moore served up a serious hit in Carolina Herrera too! The actress’s pick included spaghetti straps, a fitted bodice and a full skirt with ruffled tulle for a romantic and very memorable red carpet fashion moment.
Nominee Elizabeth Olsen kept the Emmys dress selection family friendly when it came to choosing a dress. The star wore a white dress from The Row, the line of her twin sisters. We love the close family connection but we wanted more from the frock. It had three-quarter-length sleeves, a low neckline, and had a low neckline. Despite the dull dress, she stepped things up when it came time to add jewels…
Elizabeth Olsen’s The Row dress may have disappointed, but check out those stunning drop earrings! The Emmy-winning actress wore Chopard’s stunning diamond earrings.
Keri Russell’s Zuhair murad gown was exquisite with incredible embellishing. It featured a plunging neckline, center slit, and most importantly, a cape-like detail with feathered trim.
We were not impressed by Cynthia Erivo’s Louis Vuitton selection. The star’s sleeveless white gown started out strong — with a simple bodice with a belt detail that flowed into a fitted skirt — but lost us when that skirt gave way to a bright blue, teal and silver feathered disaster. Despite the disappointing dress, Cynthia delivered when it came time to add jewelry…
Cynthia Erivo added some stunning bling from Roberto Coin to the mix. This Emmys ensemble was complete with her stunning choker necklace and huge diamond ring.
Catherine O’Hara looked stunning in red! The “Schitt’s Creek” star sported this Cong Tri design — a one-shouldered blouse with a dramatic train that flowed into wide-legged pants in the same bold shade — making for a memorable red carpet moment.
We typically adore Angela Bassett’s bold fashion choices, but this one missed the mark. Her black-and pink Greta Constantine design was a cool combination of colors, but the excessive pink ruffle was too distracting for us to pay attention to anything else.
You couldn’t miss Kaley Cuoco on the red carpet — the actress arrived in an eye-catching Vera Wang creation in highlighter yellow. We loved the sweetheart neckline, center slit, and matching sandals she paired this gown with. Next? Next, take a closer look at the details of this custom frock.
Kaley Cuoco’s Vera Wang creation featured sweet floral embellishments on the spaghetti straps. It gives the gown a more romantic feeling. With the bright dress, she wore an updo and added De Beers subtle diamond drop earrings.
Neon yellow was also worn by Michaela Coel on Emmys Night. The star selected these Christopher John Rogers coordinates — a cropped and strapless top and a fitted skirt. While pretty from the front, this look was even better from the back…
Gorgeous! The back of Michaela Coel’s top featured a large tie detail. This added drama gave the look an extra dimension.
Ellen Pompeo switched up her look on the Emmys red-carpet, arriving in a killer jumpsuit by Elie Saab. The one-piece was long-sleeved and featured flared pants with silver sequin piping.
We loved Jason Sudeikis Emmys outfit. We loved the rich velvet fabric and the teal shade. Tom Ford was his standout tuxedo, and he paired it with a classic black bow tie. He also wore black boots and a classic black bow tie.
Another gentleman who looked dapper wearing Tom Ford? Sterling K. Brown was the one who chose this custom tuxedo by the designer and paired with a black bow tie, boots and boots.
Mindy Kaling looked stunning in black Carolina Herrera at Emmys night. The strapless gown featured a large bow at the waist and a mermaid-style sleeve. And when it came time to accessorize, she turned to diamonds…
Mindy Kaling added some sparkle to her black Caroline Herrera gown with jewels from De Beers. The jeweler provided the statement ring, earrings, and necklace for the star.
Bowen Yang certainly arrived on the scene in style! The comedian arrived in a stylish Zegna tuxedo, and really stepped up when it was time to accessorize. Let’s take a closer look…
Bowen Yang added a little bling to his Zegna tux with a cool star-shaped brooch from Tiffany & Co. crafted from 18-karat yellow gold and platinum plus diamonds. When it came time to add shoes, he went with an unexpected pick…
Check out those shoes! Bowen Yang chose to wear platform boots in silver with his Zegna suit. We loved this unexpected and fun addition.
Outstanding supporting actress in a comedy winner Hannah Waddingham from “Ted Lasso” arrived already looking like a winner! The actress chose a peach Christian Siriano dress with one sleeve and lots of ruching. She also wore a train detail that trailed behind on the red carpet.
We are always surprised to see Daniel Levy in this Valentino gown. The “Schitt’s Creek” star’s look included a wrap blazer with a tie at the waist, pants and a dress shirt all in a bold blue shade. He kept accessories simple, opting for black boots and his signature black-rimmed glasses.
Nope! This look is not for us! Madeline Brewer’s brown Tom Ford dress was already underwhelming. But when paired with electric-blue heels, it was completely stunning.
Yara Shahidi looked stunning in green while walking the Emmys red-carpet! The stunning tea-length Dior gown featured an off-the shoulder detail and a full length skirt that showcased her brown Christian Louboutin pointy toe pumps. And when it came to add jewelry, Yara spared no expense…
Yara Shahidi accessorized her fabulous green Dior gown with a show-stopping necklace from Cartier. Is that accessory worth $1 million? It is estimated to be worth $1 million
Another Dior star? Jurnee Slompt wore this romantic ruffled strapless dress with a tiered ruffled sleeve on Emmys night. Equally impressive? Her styling choices — a sleek updo, a diamond necklace and a dramatic dark lip.
Olivia Colman looked unimpressive in this orange-andblack Roksanda dress. We liked the short sleeves and cape-like detail, but the skirt was too long for our liking.
Looking dapper, Kenan Thompson! The “Saturday Night Live” star arrived in one of the prettiest tuxedos of the night — this sharp pink number. His darling bow tie, which perfectly matched the lapels his tux, added pink to the mix. He finished the look with black dress shoes.
Missing Coachella? Aidy Bryant arrived wearing a flower crown and an outfit fit for a music festival. The star’s olive green Simone Rocha gown was lovely — check out the floral embellishments! — but the length and accessories made it feel a little too casual for Emmys night.
Jennifer Coolidge kept things simple and elegant in navy blue. The gown by Christian Siriano featured a chic cape detail, and a fitted silhouette to maximize Emmys night glamour.
Another star who felt the ensemble was a bit casual? Kathryn Hahn. The black Lanvin strapless design featured an oversized belt detail, and slim ankle-length pants. It was a disappointing choice for such a big night.
The Primetime Emmys were a great night for men! This Loewe custom tuxedo by Josh O’Connor was the winner of Best Actor in a Drama. And when it came time to add a tie, the star of “The Crown” opted for an unconventional choice…
We loved Josh O’Connor’s unique accessory choice! For an unexpected touch that stood out on red carpet, O’Connor added a bolo-style tie in fabric flower-embellished to his custom Loewe Suit.
We were not a fan of Beanie Feldstein’s shimmery Brandon Maxwell gown. Although the salmon color was beautiful, the frock felt too casual for such an important night due to its short sleeves, belt detail, and midi length. We did like her metallic peep toe Christian Louboutins, despite not liking her choice of outfit.
Jean Smart won Emmy night in Ralph Lauren. The star’s black frock included a high neck, long sheer sleeves and a floor-length silhouette, all amounting to an understated yet classically glamorous fashion moment.
This red Valentino Valentino design was chosen by Tracee Ellis Ross, who is always stylish. Though the shade was pretty — and very popular! — the one-shouldered and otherwise simple silhouette was surprisingly subdued coming from the fashionista. Although her red gown was not spectacular, her jewelry was quite stunning. Get a better view next…
Tracee Ellis Ross accessorized her Valentino gown with chunky bracelets and multiple rings from Tiffany & Co.
Emerald Fennell’s whimsical style always makes for fun red carpet moments, and her Emmys pick was no different! We loved the fun Valentino gown that the star wore. It featured sparkly embellishments and a touch of neon.
Snore! Rita Wilson did not dress to impress at Emmys. The star showed up in this dull Tom Ford getup — a blazer, a sequined top and trousers — and seriously underwhelmed.
Cecily Strong made a serious fashion statement in a black dress by Azzaro that was anything but boring. The elegant, long-sleeved, sleek Azzaro black dress had a plunging neckline, a thighhigh slit, and subtle train. This added drama to the look. To complete her Emmys-ready look, she wore a Zarianas ring with drop diamond earrings and Gismondi1754 earrings.
Beth Behrs arrived in this sparkling gown fit for royalty. The Georges Hobeika gown featured sparkly embellishments across the neckline and a thigh high slit. It also had a full skirt with a train that was too high.
Billy Porter delivered a look that was not boring on the red carpet as usual. We weren’t wild about his black Ashi Studio ensemble — which included over-the-top structured wings — but we did appreciate the jewels he added to his crazy getup…
Billy Porter was dripping in diamonds! He sported a diamond and emerald necklace from Lorraine Schwartz and numerous rings from H. Crowne.
Pretty in purple! This stunning purple ballgown was a hit with Nicole Byer. This look was a hit because of its unexpected off-the shoulder neckline, ruffled edge tulle border, and full skirt.
Karamo Brown kept it classic in this velvet tuxedo. For an Emmys-worthy look, he paired the ensemble with a bowtie and high heels dress shoes.
