Driver crashes SUV into dispensary, Nevada cops say

Officials said that an SUV crashed through the front of a Nevada marijuana dispensary after the driver forgot about putting it in park.

Deputies responded quickly to a call about an SUV which had crashed through the windshield. “front of NuLeaf Lake Tahoe dispensary on Highway 28 in Incline Village” on Tuesday, Aug. 2, according to a news release from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.

After the driver failed put the SUV in park, the SUV began rolling backwards. The car continued, rolling down the center’s driveway and across Highway 28.

Surveillance video inside the store, shared by police, shows the SUV smashing through glass windows. An unsuspecting clerk jumps back as debris fly.

The driver was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, according to the sheriff’s office. The dispensary clerk did not suffer any injuries.

“Just a reminder that even at slow speeds, any vehicle can cause major damage,” the sheriff’s department said.
