Chick-fil A continues to grow in Charlotte, with another Chick-fil A opening this week.
According to a company press release Monday, Chick-fil A will open Thursday at 7404 Matthews Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, southeast Charlotte.
Mint Hill Restaurant will open initially for drive-thru pickup and pick-up only. Third-party delivery will also be available. Will be Available soon for the popular Southern fast food chicken chain.
“As some areas reopen and conditions evolve, you may see some of our restaurants open their dining rooms and other safety practices change,” according to Chick-fil-A’s COVID-19 response page on its website.
The company is also forgoing the usual opening celebrations. The store will surprise 100 customers instead of the traditional Chick-fil A campout opening promotions, which give away free food for the first 100 customers. “local heroes”Free food for one year
You can order and pay via contactless on the Chickfil-A mobile app, or online. The hours are 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday.
The Atlanta-based company recently opened a Belmont restaurant in July west of Charlotte in Gaston County. Chick-fil-A’s East Woodlawn Avenue restaurant was also reopened last month as a drive-thru location to alleviate traffic congestion.
A Chick-filA at 1600 Hwy. 160 West in Fort Mill (S.C.) was also closed during renovations to make way for a second drive-thru lane. This will help alleviate traffic congestion near Interstate 77. The date of reopening has not yet been determined.
Hal Queen, a Charlotte native who graduated from UNC Charlotte, will open Mint Hill as his second store. Queen opened the Albemarle Road Restaurant in 2011.
The restaurant will have approximately 100 employees, both part-time or full-time.
Chick-fil A, a privately-owned restaurant company founded in 1967, has more than 2,600 locations in 47 states, Washington D.C., Canada, and other countries.
