Car burglary suspect caught wearing clothes stolen from vehicle at cannabis dispensary

A suspect in car burglary was caught wearing clothes taken from a vehicle at a dispensary for cannabis on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 at Lady Lake

According to an arrest report from Lady Lake Police Department, the suspect was caught on video trying to open the doors of a 2006 Hyundai SUV. It was parked at Sunnyside Medical Cannabis Dispensary at around 5 p.m. The suspect was later identified by Cruze Antonio Cromwell, 29, of Orlando.

A co-worker of the vehicle’s owner walked out into the parking lot and saw Cromwell in the vehicle.

Officers discovered that Cromwell was carrying a ProxyII ID card, a lighter adorned with donut designs, and a Swiss army knife when he was arrested. The items were removed from the vehicle.

Cromwell was wearing gray-and black shorts and was not wearing a shirt during surveillance. Cromwell was wearing a shirt, and shorts that looked like they had been stolen from his vehicle when he was arrested.

Cromwell was charged with burglary, trespassing, and theft. Cromwell, a native of Georgia, was booked at Lake County Jail on $7,000 bond.

Cromwell was arrested earlier in the month after allegedly taking a car from a Leesburg residence.
