Koeman not worried about Barcelona future, hopeful of turnaround
Speaking ahead of the home game against Granada, Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman said he is not worried about his future despite criticism in the wake of last week’s drubbing by Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
“The only thing is to think about the game, think about the team,” The 58 year-old coach said. “The other things are not in my hands.”
In LaLiga, the Catalan club are in 10th spot, six points behind leaders and arch-rivals Real Madrid. Barcelona has two games in hand and Koeman is confident that his injury-ravaged squad will win back to their winning ways.
“So I’m calm and I trust that we will win games like we did at the start of the season. We have seven points from three games, so there are a lot of games to go.
“I know that the results are what really matter. I don’t have to worry about my future. The president ultimately decides for the club.
